“These two awards are OMB’s most esteemed honors and there is no one more deserving of this recognition than Barbara,” Lori Drummond, OlyFed President & CEO said. “Barbara has been a part of the OlyFed team for more than 37 years and her unwavering commitment to our customers and community is extraordinarily inspiring.”
Over the past couple years; Barbara has chaired the OMB’s Tour of Homes. This year Barbara was able to help establish an innovative virtual event featuring more than a dozen home sites along with a special section dedicated to highlighting the important works of community partners like South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity and Homes First.
A long-time advocate of environmentally friendly building practices, Barbara helped establish OlyFed’s green lending program and she’s been instrumental in advocating for affordable housing resources and support. Barbara has helped advance many creative partnerships through not only her work with the OMB, but also with a number of other professional associations including the Thurston County Realtors Association (TCRA). In fact, Barbara was recently named Chair of the Diversity Committee with TCRA.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Barbara my entire career at OlyFed and I’ve always appreciated her care, concern and compassion for serving the needs of others,” Drummond continued. “Barbara has a heart of gold, which is why she’s earned the trust and respect of so many people. She truly embodies the values of OlyFed.”
