Godown began his journey with OlyFed as Customer Service Representative (CSR) at the Downtown Olympia branch in April of 1985. A little more than a year later Jeff was promoted to Accounting Assistant and then he spent several years a Loan Closer, advancing through the ranks until he decided to move back to Accounting for a while.
In April of 2002, Jeff moved to Information Technology as an Information Systems Assistant and in 2011 he was promoted to Network Administration Manager and has been the bank’s go-to technology resource ever since.
As an OlyFedder, Jeff has shown amazing teamwork and customer service, which is why he was honored as Employee of the Quarter in 1991, 2000 and 2013 and why he received the Kris Fischer Award in 2018.
“Jeff is an incredibly hard worker who is smart, thoughtful and responsive and his caring presence around the office will be greatly missed,” Mike Bowen, SVP / Chief Information Officer said.
“As a quiet and reserved individual, the thing I love and appreciate about Jeff is his surprising sense of humor and his ability to bring fun to our team.”
Jeff is looking forward to kicking off his retirement with a trip to Las Vegas, hiking more in Olympic National Park and visiting Sequoia National Park in California sometime next year.
“I am so grateful for Jeff’s dedication to OlyFed over the past 37 years,” Josh Deck, President & CEO said.
“Jeff helped us advance in so many different ways as technology has changed the banking industry and how OlyFed operates. Jeff’s expertise and insight will have a lasting impact here at the bank and in our community.”
Thank you Jeff for making OlyFed such a wonderful place to work and do business! Congratulations on 37 years and enjoy your retirement.
