Mike started with the bank in July 2017 as the Association’s Senior Technology Officer. In April of 2020, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.
In his time at OlyFed, Mike has been instrumental in advancing the bank’s technology investments and initiatives. During his tenure, the bank has implemented a new digital banking platform, added an online consumer lending system, expanded the functionality of the bank’s mortgage loan system, expanded digital services for small business customers and so much more.
During the pandemic, he and his team were instrumental in getting the bank’s back office teams set up to work remotely in a matter of weeks, while also helping the organization grow its digital banking team to serve more customers through online, email and phone support. Mike, who is a masterful contract negotiator, has helped the organization realize a number of financial savings opportunities that have helped the bank provide added customer and community assistance.
In recognition of Mike’s many accomplishments and contributions, he was named to South Sound Business Magazines Top 40 Business Leaders under 40 in 2021. In addition, Mike has received several internal awards and recognition for his leadership and commitment to his colleagues and community.

He also has an incredible vision for the bank’s future and establishing the needed tools and resources to ensure OlyFed not only remains competitive but also relevant to the needs of today’s customers.
In his free time, Mike volunteers as a board member with the Olympia School District Education Foundation, where he currently serves as President. Mike, who is an alumnus of the University of Washington, is huge Huskies fan and enjoys rooting for the Dawgs with family and friends. A big outdoors enthusiast, Mike enjoys cycling, running and camping all around the Pacific Northwest.
